A Forney ISD grades 7-to-12 special-ed teacher who abruptly quit his job after only one semester because his students subjected him to serious verbal abuse and threatened to physically harm him and his family won’t be sanctioned for “abandoning” his contract.
This case involving Isaiah Thomas Brown was one of dozens of disciplinary decisions — the details of which were mostly not publicly discussed by the board — that the SBEC’s board acted upon during its July meeting.
