UIL Medical Panel Embarks on Tentative Plan to Require Schools to Measure Outdoor Air Temps via “WBGT” Devices by 2025-26

The UIL is considering upgrading the current recommendation — into a mandate by School Year 2025-26 — that schools use wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) systems (explained here) to determine if it is too hot (based on a number of factors) for students to participate in league affiliated outdoor activities.
