Top TASA/TASB Convention Awards

The following awards were announced during the just concluded Texas Association of School Administrators/Texas Association of School Boards (TASA/TASB) convention in Dallas.

Tomball ISD Superintendent Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora was named 2023 Superintendent of the Year by TASB.

The finalist superintendents for the award were: 1) Wade Stanford (Westwood), 2) Jim F. Chadwell (Eagle Mountain-Saginaw), 3) Sheri Blankenship (Hereford) and 4) Jose Rafael Lopez (Kermit).

The Corsicana ISD school board was named the 2023 Outstanding School Board by TASA.

The finalists for the award were the: 1) Crowley, 2) Montgomery, 3) Texas City and 4) Ysleta school boards.

The Texas School Public Relations Association recognized TASA Deputy Executive Director for Advocacy Dr. Brian Woods for being selected by the association as its 2023 Key Communicator Award recipient.
