TEA Seeks Special-Ed Mediators

The TEA is accepting applications from licensed attorneys (with at least these minimum qualifications) to serve as mediators to help resolve special-ed related disputes between parents and ISDs, charters or other local education (LEA) agencies.

Compensation, to be paid by the LEA, is $180 per hour plus at least $80 an hour for travel expenses. The TEA will also provide reimbursement for expenses to attend mandatory training.

Deadline: Oct. 30.
