Martinsville ISD Reportedly is the First Texas District with an All-Electric School Bus Fleet

The 323-student Martinsville ISD in Nacogdoches County is the first Texas school district to boast an all-electric school bus fleet, according to a press release that was issued this morning.
The district replaced its entire diesel-fueled school bus fleet with five 71-passenger Blue Bird electric buses — purchased from Rush Truck Centers — that can travel up to 120 miles on a single charge. The district also purchased five Nuvve charging stations and related software.
Funding was made possible in part via a $1.58 million Clean School Bus Program Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The guide will be updated frequently.
