Three Original Texas School Meal Recipes Introduced
The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has just posted standardized recipes — in collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America-San Antonio, Florence ISD and Salado ISD — for:
- Texas Beef and Chimichurri Rice Bowl.
- Texas Mushroom Queso.
- Asian-Inspired Chop Salad with Ginger SunButter Dressing.
Each recipe features local Texas agricultural products and meets the nutritional standards for the National School Lunch Program and is student approved.
Recipe development was supported by a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant.
