Caribbean Cruises Among Prizes in K-to-6 “Texas Coast Children’s Art Contest”

The grand prize winner in this annual General Land Office (GLO) contest will receive, in addition to other prizes, a two-person 6-to-8 day Caribbean cruise courtesy of the Royal Caribbean International cruise line.

The grand prize winner’s teacher will also receive an identical Caribbean cruise prize.

This is the 2023 grand prize winning entry submitted by Northside (San Antonio) ISD 6th grader Lydia Ireland. Lydia — and her teacher — each received Caribbean cruises for two, and Lydia received additional prizes.

The contestants’ artwork should be based on the theme “Treasures of the Texas Coast” and depict what makes the Texas coast important to each individual student.

A total of 40 winning entries will be selected. All winners (including the grand prize winner) will receive a copy of a 2025 calendar displaying their artwork, passes to either of the two Texas Schlitterbahn amusement parks, and other prizes.

Public school, private school and home schooled students are eligible.

Deadline: March 6.
