State to Award $8.4 Million to Local Governmental Entities for Cybersecurity Projects

A total of $8.4 million will be awarded to local governmental entities to fund cybersecurity projects under the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP), the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) announced.

The SLCGP is a federal grant program that helps eligible entities address cybersecurity risks and threats to information systems owned or operated by local government entities and federally recognized tribal governments.
