TEA Teacher Leadership Fellowships

The TEA today posted info about the agency’s Teacher Leadership Fellowship (TLF) program — described as a highly selective yearlong fellowship designed to strengthen teacher leadership pathways at the state level and increase meaningful opportunities for teachers to shape the profession.
Applicants must be currently serving as a teacher of record, have a minimum of two years of teaching experience, and plan to remain in a classroom teaching role for the 2024-2025 school year.
The TLF will meet for an in-person kickoff in Austin in July 2024, and will meet virtually each month from August 2024 through June 2025. All travel expenses for teachers will be covered, and teachers will receive a $1,500 stipend for their participation.
Online info sessions are scheduled for 5 p.m. on Feb. 7 and Feb. 20.
Districts may nominate teachers by March 1, and teachers may nominate themselves by March 10.
