SBOE Seeks “Heroes for Children” Nominations
The State Board of Education (SBOE) is accepting nominations for the 2024 Heroes for Children Award, celebrating 30 years of honoring exceptional volunteers in Texas education.
Each year, the SBOE selects 15 people, one from each member’s district, to be recognized as heroes. To be eligible for nomination, candidates must volunteer their time, effort, service, and support to public schools and students.
Nominations close on July 12, and honorees will be celebrated at the September SBOE general meeting in Austin.Â
