Grants for Heavy-Duty Vehicles and Equipment

State and local governments, corporations, individuals and any other legal entity that meet specified criteria and are located in designated parts of the state (map) — are eligible to apply for newly announced Texas Emission Reduction Plan (TERP) rebate grants for:

  • Electrification of on-road heavy duty diesel vehicles (including school buses) or off-road diesel equipment.

  • Replacing or repowering on-road heavy-duty diesel vehicles and select non-road diesel equipment.

  • Purchasing or leasing new, near-zero or zero emission on-road heavy-duty vehicles or off-road equipment.

Applicants may receive grants covering up to 80% of eligible costs.

Deadline: July, 29, or until the program’s approximately $92 million in allocated funding is exhausted (whichever comes first).
