TDA to Transition from “TX-UNPS” to “TANS” Web Portal for Nutrition Program Providers

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) will soon launch its new Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS) web portal.

Beginning with program year 2026, TANS will replace the venerable Texas Unified Nutrition Programs System (TX-UNPS) web portal that school nutritional program administrators (among others) use to access applications, claims, and related functions for these TDA-administered programs:

School Nutrition Programs.
Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Summer Meal Programs.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.
Special Milk Program.
Food Distribution Program.
