Texas AG Asked if Districts are “Skirting” State Law on Chaplains in Schools

Whether school boards did not fully comply with 2023’s SB763 mandate requiring them to vote on whether to allow volunteer chaplains (or chaplains they employ) to provide services to students is the subject of an opinion request received by the state attorney general’s office on July 26.
