TEA: 87% of Public School Campuses Passed their “Intruder Detection Audit” in School Year 2023-24

School facility security audits found no problems with 7,293 (87 percent) of the state’s 8,382 campuses during the 2023-24 school year, the TEA concludes in the recently released Intruder Detection Audits (IDA) report.

The report summarizes findings by inspectors — who were dispatched by regional education service centers (ESC) on behalf of TEA — to visit all the state’s public school campuses.
