Texas Law Enforcement Online Licensure Lookup Service Launches

The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) this morning launched a new online service allowing the public to access records of individuals who are required to hold licenses issued by the commission.

The licensee service reports include training records, training compliance status and license issuance date. No private or personal identifying information is included.

The online application includes service reports for all Texas peace officers, jailers and telecommunicators who hold (or have held) a TCOLE license.

A free account is required to begin the search, which includes searches by the licensee’s name, department, license type and service dates.

Establishment of the online licensee lookup service resulted from a Texas Sunset Commission recommendation.
