TEA Opens “Generation 30” Charter Application Season

The TEA, via today’s Texas Register, opened the latest (Generation 30) application season that will eventually lead to the selection — following a nearly year-long process — of new charter districts to open no earlier than the 2026-27 school year.

Applications are being accepted for these categories of open-enrollment charters:

• New operators.
• Experienced operators.
• Colleges and universities.
• Out-of-state high-performing entities.
• In-state high-performing entities.
