Settlement Ends (for now) SBEC's Quest to Shutter State's Largest Ed-Prep Program

The TEA late Friday afternoon released a copy of the settlement agreement approved by SBEC’s board that gives the state’s largest educator preparation program one more chance to fix its deficiencies.

In return, A+ Texas Teachers (commonly known as Texas Teachers of Tomorrow), agreed to drop its legal challenge (article) that has kept SBEC from moving forward with revocation proceedings.

SBEC’s board approved the agreement on Thursday.
