Governor Appoints Eight to Texas School Safety Center Board
Gov. Abbott on Tuesday announced the following appointments to the Texas School Safety Center board:

- Appointed:
- Nidia De La Cerda, Tuloso-Midway ISD assistant principal.
- Robert “Rob” McClelland, Dripping Springs ISD board member.
- Rania Mankarious, Crime Stoppers of Houston CEO.
- Edwin Flores, managing partner, Chalker Flores, LLP, Dallas.
- Adebola “Serah” Sulaiman, board certified physician assistant / psychiatric advanced practice provider with Mind Body Optimization, Mesquite.
- Reappointed:
- Isaac “Bill” Avera, Jacksonville ISD police chief.
- Craig Bessent, Wylie ISD assistant superintendent / school marshal.
- Kerri Brady, vice president of educational practice, Huckabee architects, Cypress.
