Two Texas Elementary Student Art Contests to Award Fabulous Prizes

These two state-agency sponsored art contests kicked off this week for Texas public, private and home-schooled elementary students:

2025 Treasures of the Texas Coast Children’s Art Contest

  • Sponsor: Texas General Land Office.

    Eligibility: Students in grades K to 6.

    Prizes: A six-to-eight-night Caribbean cruise (for two) for the grand prize winner and for the grand prize winner’s teacher.

    The grand prize winner and 39 runner-up winners will receive Schlitterbahn water park passes, an art supply gift card, a certificate of recognition — and copies of the 2026 calendar displaying the winning art work.

    Deadline: March 5.

2025 Take Care of Texas Art Contest

  • Sponsor: Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

    Eligibility: Students in grades K to 5.

    Prizes: 1) Laptops for the three grand prize winners, 2) iPads for the runner-ups and 3) an iPad (or equal-value gift card) for the teacher submitting the most entries.

    Deadline: March 3.
