The TEA has begun accepting applications (from teachers) and nominations (from districts) for the 2025-2026 Teacher Leadership Fellowship (TLF) initiative.

Teachers accepted into the program will develop their leadership skills, collaborate with educators across the state — and will provide timely input to TEA staff on state-level programs and practices.

The TLF will meet for an in-person kickoff in Austin in July 2025 — and will meet virtually from August 2025 through June 2026.

All travel expenses for teachers will be covered, and teachers will receive a $1,500 stipend for participating in the fellowship.

Key dates:

  • Feb. 11 (5 p.m.) — Information session via Zoom (register now).
  • Feb. 25 — Deadline for districts to nominate teachers.
  • March 4 — Deadline for teachers to apply.
