Region 16 ESC to Launch Cutting Edge Data Center

Soon, students across the Texas Panhandle will benefit from faster, more reliable internet to make schoolwork more efficient.
The Amarillo headquartered Region 16 Education Service Center wanted a solution to install fiber internet to every school district across the Texas Panhandle.
Collaboration
Due to a collaboration with Duos Edge AI and FiberLight, the service center was able to complete this task by adding a pod data center.
This data center will allow for multiple internet service providers and other businesses to use the pod as a hub to prevent latency or cuts in service.
“We’re excited about these data centers because it impacts students, opens up opportunities for economic and professional development for communities, and it’s going to attract business and create interoperability for our providers in the area,” Michael Keough, Region 16’s chief information officer told Amarillo broadcast outlet KFDA (watch video).
March 18 Grand Opening
The data center will have its grand opening on Tuesday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (RSVP here, and watch live here.)
