Minimum Vaccine Requirements

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has just posted the minimum SY 2025-26 requirements for students in grades PK to 12 and for children in childcare facilities.

The webpage also includes sample information letters that schools and childcare facilities can send to parents — and info about valid reasons for the granting of immunization exemptions.

Measles Update

Separately, DSHS reported on Tuesday that there have been 327 cases of measles identified in Texas since late January, including the fatality of one child who lived in the outbreak area.
