TEA to Publicly Release 2023 A-F Accountability Ratings on April 24

The long-delayed 2023 district-level and campus A-F accountability ratings will be confidentially released to districts on Thursday, April 17, and publicly released on Thursday, April 24, the TEA announced on April 8.
The announcement follows the unanimous decision (article) on April 3 by the Texas Fifteenth Court of Appeals dismissing the lawsuit filed by 121 ISDs seeking to block the release of the 2023 ratings.
- Note: The ISD plaintiffs have until April 18 to file notice if they will ask the Fifteenth Court justices to reconsider their decision, and have until May 19 to file an appeal with the Texas Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, the Fifteenth Court has yet to rule on a separate lawsuit, filed by a smaller number of ISDs, that has kept the TEA from releasing the 2024 A-F accountability ratings.
