2025 H-E-B Excellence in Education Statewide Award Winners Announced
Statewide winners in the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards program were announced during a Sunday (May 4) ceremony in Austin.
A total of $480,000 in cash awards and grants were awarded to six teachers, two counselors, two principals, two school districts, one early childhood facility and a public school board for being among the best in Texas.
The school district affiliated winners were:
- Large School District: Prosper ISD, $100,000.
- Small School District: Lubbock-Cooper ISD, $50,000.
- School Board: Lamar CISD, $25,000.
- Early Childhood: Dr. Sarah K. Jandrucko Academy for Early Learners (Mansfield ISD), $25,000.
Since 2002, the program has awarded more than $14 million in cash and grants to Texas teachers and schools, and is the largest of its kind in Texas and the nation.
