TEA Releases Spring 2025 STAAR End-of-Course Results

The TEA this morning announced (press release) the 2025 STAAR spring end-of-course (EOC) results.

This year’s results show modest year-over-year changes among the five subjects tested.

According to the TEA’s analysis:

  • In Algebra I, 47 percent of students met grade level, up slightly from 45 percent in spring 2024.

  • Biology showed a notable improvement, with 62 percent of students meeting grade level compared to 57 percent last year.

  • English I and English II saw slight declines, with 51 percent (down from 54 percent) and 56 percent (down from 60 percent) of students meeting grade level, respectively.

  • U.S. History remained relatively stable, with 68 percent meeting grade level, down a percentage point from 2024.

STAAR EOC aggregate level data by state, region, district or campus is available to view and download on the Texas Assessment Research Portal

Results for STAAR grades 3-to-8 assessments will be posted on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
