All 12 UIL State Football Championship Games & Some Playoffs will be Streamed for Free for 5 Years

For the next five football seasons, all 12 UIL State Football Championship games — and up to 20 football playoff matchups — will be streamed directly to your digital device for free.

That’s according to Dave Campbell’s Texas Sports, which announced on Tuesday (June 10, 2025) that it brokered the deal between Victory+ and the UIL.

• Note: The Dallas-headquartered Victory+ is a streaming service which features regional broadcasts for Dallas Stars, Anaheim Ducks and Texas Rangers, among others.

Although free, the streamed broadcasts will include ads. Games can be streamed on Android, iOS, Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, among others.

This will be the first time all the state football championship broadcasts will be available for free and outside a cable bundle.

The move, according to all parties, means fans will be able to watch the games with fewer restrictions, UIL Executive Director Jamey Harrison told Dave Campbell’s Texas Sports.

“A Big Motivator for Us”

“The availability challenges of the past should be resolved with this new deal. This collaboration ensures our championship events and playoff games are showcased at the highest level and accessible to fans, families and schools throughout Texas,” Harrison said, adding:

“To allow fans to watch these games for free was a big motivator for us.”

The announcement came the day before the convening of Wednesday’s summer UIL Legislative Council meeting in Austin.
