TEA’s Latest “TAAs” Include Updates on New School Laws

The TEA this afternoon (Thursday, June 26) posted seven “To the Administrator Addressed” (TAA) covering new education laws and other topics.

They are:

• State Board of Education (SBOE)-Approved Instructional Materials Entitlements.
  
  
• 2025–26 Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Special Education Data System (SPEDS) Summer Submission for State Performance Plan Indicators (SPPI) 7, 11, 12, and 13 Data Submission.
  
  
• Bus Collision Reporting.
  
  
• House Bill 2 (HB 2) Implementation: Teacher Candidate Certification Fee Waivers and Reimbursements.
  
  
• Final A–F Accountability Rating System Manual for 2026.
  
  
• Required Misconduct Reporting and Notices (SB 571) and Liability of Public Schools and Professional School Employees (HB 4623).
  
  
• 2024-2025 College Preparation Assessments: TSIA Reimbursement (Survey Closes on September 30, 2025).
