Comptroller Adopts Final “School Voucher” Rules

Final rules and key dates for the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program — formerly known as the Education Savings Account Program — have been adopted, Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced (press release) on Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2025).

Additional guidance materials and instructions will be released in the coming weeks, according to the press release.
