TEA Posts Preliminary 2025-26 ISD & Charter Fiscal Ratings

The TEA has posted the 2025-26 preliminary Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) results (based on SY 2024-25 data).

Although the vast majority of ISDs and charters received preliminary passing ratings, there were 19 ISDs and 8 charters that received preliminary failing fiscal ratings.

The final ratings will be announced in November to reflect the outcome of appeals.
