Feedback Sought on Draft “DOGE” TEA & SBEC Rule Reviews

The Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office (TREO) is accepting public comments on its draft “regulatory efficiency” reviews of:

• TEA education commissioner’s rules:
  • Read the draft review.
  • Comment by Aug. 20.
    
    
• SBEC rules:
  • Read the draft review.
  • Comment by Aug. 27.

The TREO was created by 2025 legislation — and is modeled after the now defunct federal Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) intiative launched during the second Trump administration.
